Wutai
Overview
Wutai is a traditional mountain town and Yuffie's homeland, isolated on the western continent. Its bridges, waterways, pagoda, shops, homes, Turtle's Paradise bar, and nearby Da-chao statues distinguish it from Shinra-influenced settlements. The first visit may trigger Yuffie's materia theft sidequest, temporarily changing the party's combat options and closing some services. After the crisis, Wutai becomes a valuable optional hub with unique equipment, materia, and character scenes. The town remains accessible through the endgame.
