Sector 8
Overview
Sector 8 provides the first public view of Midgar outside the reactor complex. The upper-plate streets are crowded, heavily industrialized, and patrolled by Shinra troops responding to the explosion. Cloud briefly encounters Aeris here before moving through alleys, plazas, and train access points while being pursued. The sequence is short and combat-focused, but it establishes the contrast between Midgar's public districts and the slums below. This version of the area is story-only and cannot be freely revisited.
