Deling City
Overview
Deling City is the capital of Galbadia and one of the game's largest conventional cities. Its broad boulevards, monumental arch, presidential residence, shopping arcade, hotel, station, and extensive bus network create a formal metropolitan atmosphere distinct from the smaller towns. The city is used in both Laguna's past and Squall's present, culminating in the assassination operation against Sorceress Edea. Expect several temporarily restricted districts, story-dependent routes, and access points into the sewers beneath the city. Later visits restore normal shopping and exploration, and the city remains an important location for Triple Triad, weapon upgrading, and background information about Galbadian political power.
