Strategy
Abyss Worm's Sand Storm is the attack to respect because it hits the whole party with Earth-elemental damage. Earth protection or Float can greatly reduce that threat, while Fire and Water are both effective offensive choices and Earth damage itself is useless. Higher-level Abyss Worms are also a convenient source of Tornado and Quake, two useful junction spells, so the enemy can be worth controlling rather than immediately killing. If you only want the win, exploit Fire or Water and remove it before repeated Sand Storms turn a simple desert encounter into a recovery drain.

Strategy
Adamantoise is defined by its defenses: ordinary physical attacks can become inefficient long before its offense becomes truly dangerous. Inflict Vit0 with Meltdown or Doomtrain if available, then use Ice or strong attacks to cut through the shell instead of grinding against high Vitality. Sand Storm can add Darkness and White Wind can undo your progress by healing, making a long fight worse than a short one. Adamantine is an important late weapon-upgrade material, so high-level Adamantoise encounters are often worth farming deliberately rather than treating them as random EXP.

Strategy
Anacondaur relies mainly on physical attacks, but when its HP falls low it can use Dark Mist to inflict Poison, turning a nearly finished fight into unnecessary cleanup. Ice is the reliable elemental weakness, while Fire and Poison are poor choices. If you are farming its Venom Fangs or other materials, control it with Darkness, Sleep, or another common status rather than letting repeated physical hits accumulate. The enemy is not especially dangerous by itself, so the practical goal is to finish it cleanly before Dark Mist starts forcing extra healing or status recovery.

Strategy
Armadodo is a durable physical enemy that is easiest to handle by controlling its momentum rather than racing it with weak attacks. Its rolling and body attacks can hit hard if Vitality is poor, so Darkness, Slow, or another common status is useful when several appear together. It has no major elemental weakness to build the entire strategy around, which makes strong junctioned physical attacks or Vit0 more reliable than guessing at elements. If a group is becoming troublesome, disable one target and finish the others sequentially instead of spreading damage.

Strategy
Base Leaders should be removed before ordinary Base Soldiers because the leader adds the most meaningful support to an otherwise weak human formation. Silence can shut down any spell-based contribution, but direct focus fire is usually faster. The Missile Base is a section where time and resource efficiency can matter more than maximizing every random encounter, so do not spend several turns Drawing unless you specifically need the stock. Once the leader is gone, the remaining soldiers are easy cleanup and can be left alive briefly if you need a safe recovery turn.

Strategy
Base Soldiers are basic Missile Base troops and are most dangerous only when the area turns them into part of a larger scripted sequence. Their physical attacks are weak enough that a properly junctioned party can usually ignore individual hits, so prioritize speed and preserve resources for BGH251F2. If you need Draw stock, leave one soldier alive after reducing the group, rather than allowing every target to continue acting. There is no special elemental puzzle here: concentrated normal attacks or a quick group spell will clear them efficiently.

Strategy
Behemoth is dangerous because it combines high physical damage with powerful magic rather than relying on a single trick. Darkness reduces its melee threat, Silence can limit spellcasting, and Poison/Bio is useful against its large HP pool; instant KO is also unusually effective if you simply want the encounter gone. In the Deep Sea Research Center, status control is preferable to trading attacks with a high-level Behemoth. If you are farming its high-tier Draw list, disable both sides of its offense first, then stock magic while one character remains dedicated to healing.

Strategy
Belhelmel's rotating blade makes its physical offense more threatening than its modest HP suggests, but Darkness can largely solve that problem. Poison also works well, giving you a low-effort way to let its HP drain while you Draw or deal with another target. At higher levels it can provide useful status magic such as Berserk or Confuse, so there is some reason to keep one controlled rather than immediately kill it. If you are not stocking spells, blind it and finish with concentrated attacks before repeated blade strikes become significant.

Strategy
Bite Bugs are weak enough that the main concern is their nuisance status attacks rather than raw damage. Needle can inflict Poison, while their other special can leave a character Berserk, so remove a group quickly instead of letting several take turns. Wind is the best elemental option and Earth-based attacks are a poor choice against a flying target. Early in the game they are also a harmless place to Draw basic Fire magic, but there is little reason to prolong the battle once your stock is comfortable.

Strategy
Blitz is built around Lightning, so Thunder-based offense is wasted and Earth is the cleaner elemental answer. The enemy itself is manageable, but high-level Blitz encounters are notable because a rare Power Generator can be Mugged, teaching Quistis Ray-Bomb; that makes the monster far more important to completionists than its combat threat implies. If you are hunting the item, disable Blitz with a status and keep Mugging rather than killing it accidentally. Outside that farm, exploit Earth and finish quickly before its electrical attacks can compound across a group.

Strategy
Blobra is a trap for parties that rely on physical attacks. Its physical defense is extreme, while its elemental weakness can vary with the encounter, so Scan is genuinely useful here rather than decorative. Once the active weakness is identified, magic exploiting that element deals dramatically more damage; non-elemental magic is a safer fallback if you do not want to test elements. Darkness can also leave Blobra nearly harmless while you work. Do not spend turns hammering its shell with ordinary attacks when one correct spell can end the battle far faster.

Blood Soul is an undead enemy, which opens up the standard shortcut of using recovery effects offensively rather than relying only on damage. Fire and Holy are strong choices, while Poison is ineffective. It also carries status magic such as Blind, Sleep, Confuse, and Zombie as its level rises, so a group can become disruptive if allowed several turns. Phoenix Down or other undead-targeting recovery methods can end the encounter efficiently when you do not need its Draw stock; otherwise, disable it first and collect the magic safely.

Blue Dragon is a tougher random encounter whose physical attacks can punish a party that treats it like a normal field monster. Ice is the preferred element and Poison should be avoided, while Darkness is useful for blunting its physical pressure. Its Fury Fragment drops become valuable because they can be refined toward Aura-related resources and are needed for certain weapon work, so the enemy is worth farming intentionally at the appropriate level. If you are just traveling, disable its accuracy and finish it quickly instead of letting a high-level dragon trade repeated heavy blows.

Bomb

A fire monster that grows when attacked and can explode if left unchecked.

Strategy
Bombs are harmless at low levels but become dangerous once their Grow behavior is available. After being attacked they can increase their offensive stats, and after growing twice a later non-fatal hit can trigger Suicide, which deals enormous fixed damage based on the Bomb's own maximum HP. Ice is therefore best used to end the fight decisively, while Fire must be avoided because it heals them. Sleep is an excellent safety option: put the Bomb to Sleep, then use magic to finish it without giving its counter routine repeated chances to escalate.

Buel

Strategy
Buel has very low HP and little staying power, but its broad elemental spell list can make groups more annoying than the monster's appearance suggests. Holy and Wind are effective, and because Buel is airborne, Earth-based attacks are unreliable. The enemy is often more useful as a Draw source than as a combat challenge, especially when higher-level versions carry upgraded Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder spells. If you are not stocking magic, a single strong attack or spell is usually enough; do not let several Buels sit around casting simply because each one looks harmless.
