Strategy
SAM08G is another Galbadian machine where elemental preparation pays off: Thunder is the reliable choice and Poison is ineffective. Its mechanical attacks can be substantial when several machines act together, so do not split damage across targets. If your Elem-Atk junction is already set to Thunder for Missile Base enemies, ordinary attacks become efficient enough that summoning long-animation GFs is unnecessary. Use the encounter to maintain momentum through the base rather than spending valuable timer or real time on elaborate setup unless you specifically need its item drops.

Strategy
Slappers usually appear in groups in Galbadia Garden's ice rink, where their strength comes from multiple fast physical turns rather than any elaborate mechanic. Reduce the number of active targets immediately instead of spreading damage, and use Protect if your Vitality junctions are weak. Their low durability means expensive magic or GF summons are rarely necessary; normal attacks and modest multi-target damage are enough. Because the story area contains more important fights ahead, treat Slappers as resource-conservation encounters and save healing items and high-value spells for the bosses.

Strategy
Snow Lion's Ice affinity is the main mistake to avoid: it absorbs Ice, so use Fire or non-elemental damage instead. Its physical and cold-based attacks become more noticeable in Trabia, where a party may already be coming out of other encounters injured, so keep HP stable rather than assuming every snow-area enemy should be hit with Blizzard. If several appear, focus one down quickly to reduce incoming turns. There is little reason to prolong the fight for its ordinary drops unless you specifically need them; elemental discipline makes the battle straightforward.

Strategy
T-Rexaur is dangerous because its physical attacks can overwhelm an early party long before its HP is exhausted. Sleep is the cleanest answer: put it to Sleep, then damage it with magic or GFs so you do not immediately wake it with a physical hit. Ice provides reliable elemental damage, while Darkness sharply reduces the threat of its heavy melee attacks if Sleep fails. At higher levels it becomes more aggressive and can punish magic, so status control remains safer than trying to trade damage. Its level-dependent Dragon Fang drops can also be worth planning around for weapon upgrades.

Strategy
Thrustaevis is a flying enemy that becomes more valuable as its level rises because its Draw list progresses into Aero and Tornado and its drops include Shear Feathers and Windmills. Thunder is a good offensive choice, while Wind-based damage should be avoided. If you are trying to build a strong Magic or Evasion junction later, high-level Thrustaevis can be a convenient Tornado source, so consider disabling it with a status before Drawing. In an ordinary encounter, focus it quickly so its aerial attacks do not repeatedly pressure weaker party members.

Tonberry is slow, but the entire battle is a countdown. It walks toward the party and becomes much more dangerous once it reaches attack range, while Everyone's Grudge scales with a character's accumulated kill count and can be devastating on long-play saves. Gravity attacks such as Demi or Diablos help remove its large HP pool, and Meltdown or defense-ignoring Limits accelerate the kill. Mug Chef's Knives if you need Death magic or AP Ammo. In Centra Ruins, repeated Tonberry kills are also what eventually trigger the Tonberry King encounter, so save periodically during the grind.

Strategy
Torama is a fast, physical late-game cat that can become dangerous if several are allowed to act before your party. Earth is the best elemental option, while Thunder is resisted, so an Earth Elem-Atk junction can shorten the encounter substantially. Darkness is a useful general answer to its physical pressure even when you are not exploiting an element. Toramas are not usually worth a long setup unless you need their items or Draw list; otherwise, keep one character ready to heal and remove the first target quickly so the formation loses momentum.

Strategy
Tri-Face is much more valuable as a farming target than its ordinary combat difficulty suggests. Poison Gas can inflict several debilitating statuses, especially Confuse, so junctioning Confuse protection keeps a farming session stable. Curse Spikes are the real prize: large quantities can eventually be refined into Dark Matter and then into high-end abilities or magic, making fixed Tri-Face encounters particularly useful. Sleep can shut them down while you Mug or Draw Flare at higher levels. Save frequently when farming and remove one Tri-Face at a time so a bad status chain cannot wipe the group.

Strategy
Turtapod becomes much less threatening once you understand its defensive posture. After being attacked it can withdraw into Defense mode, raising its defenses and turning ordinary damage into a waste of turns. Magic, Vit0, or simply waiting for a better opening is more efficient than hammering the shell. Confuse is especially useful because a confused Turtapod can become effectively harmless, which also makes it a favored safe setup for long passive activities such as Angelo Search. In normal play, disable it and use high-damage attacks rather than engaging in a slow physical grind.

Strategy
Vysage is most dangerous when Lefty and Righty are both present, because the full trio gives it access to stronger combination and status attacks. Focus Vysage first if you want to break the formation quickly; once the central body is gone, the two hands are much less coordinated. Silence and other status protection are useful because the trio can interfere with commands while also using gravity and support magic at higher levels. If you are farming, Vysage-family enemies can provide useful Regen-related items, but do the collecting only after the group's action economy is under control.

Strategy
Wendigo's physical strength is the main threat, but it is unusually easy to disable. Darkness cuts the accuracy of its heavy hits, while Sleep, Slow, Poison, and several other statuses can all buy time if you need to Draw or Mug. Steel Pipes are the real prize: they are required for Doomtrain and are also useful refinement material, so Mug is often more important than the fastest possible kill. Once you have what you need, keep Protect up if your Vitality is poor and finish the Wendigo with concentrated physical damage.
