Plate Climb / Wire of Hope
Overview
The Plate Climb, known for the improvised Wire of Hope, is a vertical scrapyard route from Wall Market to Midgar's upper levels. Cloud, Tifa, and Barret climb cables, damaged structures, pipes, and wreckage suspended above the slums. The area contains light environmental puzzles and several item pickups, but its main purpose is to show the enormous physical separation between the lower and upper city. There are no shops or safe areas during the ascent. The route is one-time only and ends near the Shinra Building.
