The princess and heir of Alexandria, Garnet asks to be kidnapped after becoming alarmed by Queen Brahne's increasingly aggressive behavior. Traveling under the alias Dagger, she grows from a sheltered royal into a capable leader, uncovers her origins as a survivor of Madain Sari's summoner tribe, and ultimately assumes responsibility for Alexandria while opposing the forces manipulating her kingdom.
