Shimmering Island
Overview
Shimmering Island is a mysterious luminous landform off the Lost Continent that functions as the dimensional gateway between Gaia and Terra. For much of the game it is visible but inaccessible, giving the snowy region a prominent unexplained landmark. Once the elemental seals are broken it becomes the route to Terra, and the island later disappears entirely, permanently changing this portion of Gaia's world map.
